DNS-100™ Fuel Polishing and Scrubbing Technology
DNS-100 is a patented system specially designed to remove alkali metals from the fuel prior to injection into gas turbine engines. By eliminating the presence of salt, calcium and other alkali metal substances in the chamber, DNS-100 significantly reduces and in many cases eliminates the high temperature corrosion and ash fouling of gas turbine hot section components due to sulfidation process.

One major concern and cost intensive issue with gas turbine engines is related to a corrosion mechanism caused by existence of alkali metals such as sodium and calcium in the fuel. Alkali metals are presence in crude oil, residual oil or distilled fuel. While alkali metals are natural components of crude oil, additional contamination occurs in refineries and during marine transportation.
The sulfidation process causes grave inter-granular pitting of hot section components and blades resulting in significant reduction of the lifespan of the engine combined with significant costs for repair and replacement.
